University-Industry Collaborations Office

This office, established as a subsidiary of the Research and Technology Deputy of IASBS, aims to facilitate and enhance the university-industry relations to achieve self-sufficiency, meet the needs of industry and society, and enhance the capabilities of students and graduates to address the societal needs. The university, benefiting from creative and elite students at the graduate (master's and Phd) levels in various fields of basic sciences with different orientations, has a considerable capacity to define and implement specialized theses in the priority research areas of organizations. Government and private organizations can support the research of master's and Phd students by defining a research program and benefiting from its achievements as part of a research program. Additionally, companies and technology units located in the Science and Technology Park of the university can benefit from the capabilities of this office.

Goals

  • Increasing the role of university professors, as well as companies and units within the university's Science and Technology Park, in carrying out practical projects required by the country.
  • Utilizing the capabilities and potential of the university, as well as companies and units within the university's Science and Technology Park, to address research and technology needs and provide consultancy services to executive bodies and industries of the country.
  • Creating the necessary grounds for the production and growth of science and technology required by the country through demand-driven, customer-centric, and effective research, considering national objectives, and having a significant impact on society and industry.
  • Enhancing both quantitatively and qualitatively the university's collaborations with economic centers and industries at international, national, and provincial levels.

Actions

  • Establishing continuous and bilateral communication between the university and industries and organizations through the creation of specialized teams.
  • Organizing joint meetings between university faculty members and industry managers, as well as officials from organizations.
  • Receiving research priorities from industries and organizations and informing university researchers.
  • Sending proposals for research projects to industries and organizations.
  • Signing contracts to execute practical research projects with industries and organizations and monitoring the contracts.
  • Signing MoUs for collaboration with industries and organizations to expand the university's relations with industry and society.
  • Sending students for visits to organizations and industries, as well as participating in internships.
  • Active participation in research exhibitions with the aim of presenting selected university research projects.
