Technical and specialized support

The Virus Research Laboratory of the Science and Technology Park of IASBS was established in 2020 with the aim of conducting research projects leading to the production of technology and products in the fields of virology, genetics, cellular and molecular biology, and biotechnology. It occupies a space of 250 square meters. The laboratory consists of two main sections: a general laboratory and analytical instrument laboratories. In addition to the purchased equipment and devices, essential and basic chemicals have also been provided. The completion of equipment for this laboratory is ongoing. For the equipment of these laboratories, domestically manufactured devices such as refrigerators, -80°C freezers, and laminar hoods have been utilized. Currently, the main analytical equipment of this facility includes liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS lab), gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS lab), DNA sequencing machine, multi-drop reader, and FPLC machine. This laboratory provides suitable conditions for conducting molecular, cytogenetic, cloning, and gene expression projects, quantitative and qualitative studies of genes, epigenetics, pharmacogenetics, cell culture, and the design and production of molecular laboratory and clinical kits, utilizing modern laboratory equipment and facilities.

IoT Laboratory of the Science and Technology Park of IASBS Institute For Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences in Zanjan, as one of the leading universities in basic sciences in the country, is the first university in the country to approve and attract students in the field of Internet of Things (IoT) at the Faculty of Computer Science through participation in the international IoTrain project. In this regard, in collaboration with the Information Technology and Communications Department, the Science and Technology Park has launched the IoT Laboratory in 2023 to conduct research projects aimed at providing technological products and services in the IoT field to meet the needs of the entire province.

The IoT and Electronics Laboratory, equipped with tools, equipment, and resources for designing, prototyping, and testing IoT devices and electronic circuits, is located in the Advanced Sciences Technologies Incubation Center. This laboratory will play a significant role in strengthening innovation, research, and education in the field of IoT and electronics in the province. Some of the equipment for setting up the laboratory is provided by the Information Technology and Communications Department of Zanjan Province and has been installed on-site.
